Community Counseling Services
Our Master’s level therapists provide outpatient counseling services to individuals and families in the Bangor and Easton communities of northeastern Pennsylvania. Psychiatric medication management is also available. Community Counseling Services helps clients utilize strengths-based strategies to manage distressing symptoms. In doing so, clients can improve day-to-day functioning and enjoy a reduction in symptoms such as anxiety, sadness and hopelessness. Parenting and Social Skills Supportive group therapy is also offered. Most insurance is accepted for payment; a sliding fee scale is available to those who qualify.
Family Group Decision Making
Through the Bangor office of Community Counseling Services, we offer Family Group Decision Making, an approach that emphasizes the family’s strengths and addresses the overall needs of the family as a whole. Through its focus on the family system, FGDM addresses intense conflict while promoting the communal spirit of the family. This service helps to facilitate the family’s role as the primary decision maker, one that holds the responsibility for the plan’s implementation, developed in collaboration with identified supports.
